Massage for the Athletic Child and Adult

Whether you have big dreams of becoming the next champion tennis of golf player or perhaps just wanting to improve your game, Body-Oasis is alongside with you working to help you reach your athletic goals.

Your day can consist of three or more hours per day of athletic training, sometimes with little time between workouts to recover. This means extremely sore and tight muscles which can hamper your performance.

If you are serious athlete and competitive performer, then you will be working very hard to stand out. This not only puts physical stress on the muscular system, it also causes mental and emotional stress as well which gets stored in the muscles. Taking care of yourself in all areas mentioned will give you a solid foundation alleviating any unnecessary discomfort so that you continue to improve your performance, avoid injury and succeed.

Body-Oasis will give you the tools you need to succeed by way of preventing injuries caused from the wear and tear of muscles that exercise places on them. Over worked muscles become extremely tight and are more likely to get injured and don’t perform as well. Muscular therapy can improve performance, speed up recovery process for some minor injuries as well as reduce the risk of further injury and fatigue.

Stretching muscles is an equally important adjunct to any massage therapy treatment plan. You will learn proper stretching as well as at home massage techniques which will help to increase mobility, improve circulation and ease muscle tension.

Although it is impractical for you to receive a massage pre, post and during a game, I recommend any athlete, depending on the individual and the intensity of your athletic training, to have a massage during intense training days and perhaps right after a game. This will soften up tight muscles, flush out lactic acid build up and relieve stress.

We can further discuss and set up a treatment plan to be more economically affordable given that you will need more as opposed to less treatments.

Most therapists will require a parent or guardian be present during the child’s massage.
